Mangalore, December 2: Bimba Prathista, Brahmakalashabhisheka of Parivara Devatha and inauguration of newly built statues of Brahmasri Narayanaguru & Mahatma Gandhi of Kankanady Garodi was held on 2nd December 2009. Sri Brahmanada Sarawathi Swamiji of Dharmasthala Gududeva Mutt delivered the benedictory speech on the occasion.

B Janardhan Poojary, the former union minister, inaugurated the new marble statue of Brahmasri Narayanaguru and B Devadas, the president of Kudroli Venkatesha Shivabhakti Yoga Sangha, inaugurated the statue of.  Mahatma Gandhi

U Bhojaraj, the entrepreneur, presided over the function. B Damodar Nisarga, the managing trustee of the Garody, delivered the introductory speech. K Chitharanjan, the president of the Garody, was also present.

A Sadananda Shetty, the president of Shri Devi Education Trust; U T Khader, the MLA of Mangalore; Sooryoday Perampally, the cine artist; and M Padmanabha Pai, the managing partner of  M S Pai and Co, were the chief guests.
