Kannada movie ‘Chella Pilli’ to hit silver screens on July 5

Mangalore, July 2, 2013: Kannada movie ‘Chella Pilli’ will be released across the state on July 5, Friday, said Saikrishna, the film director.

Speaking at the press meet held at the Cinepolis at City Centre Mall on July 2, Tuesday, he said that the film ‘Chella Pilli’ is produced under the banner Shinecity Productions, and well-known Kannada and Tulu actors including Vijaya Raghavendra, Aishwarya Nag, M S Umesh, Shobharaj, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Shivamanju, Santosh Shetty, are playing different roles.

 

Film producer Sudesh Bhandary said that the film will be screened in 70-80 theatres across the state on July 5.  He also said that the film has completed shooting in 54 days in Mangalore, Bangalore and Tumkur at a budget of Rs 2.5 crores.

The special attraction in the film is the role of an ex-CM played by former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda.

 The film duration is 2 hour 20 minutes and will be screened at Cinepolis and Jyothi in Mangalore and Kalpana Theatre in Udupi.

Saikrishna said that the story of the film revolves around three friends who face problems in the process of helping others. The actors in the film speak Kannada in the Bangalorean style and  thereby try to prove that even Mangaloreans  can speak good Kannada.

 The film has four songs directed by Mikku Kavil. The songs are sung by Jessy Gift, Karthik, Malathi, Shamitha Malnad, Anuradha Bhat, Nakul Abhyankar, and others.

Keerthan Shetty, Cinepolis, Aravind Bolar, Naveen D Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjur and Sukesh Bhandary were present at the press meet.
