Karkala: 1 dead, 4 injured as goods tempo overturns

Karkala, February 12, 2025: One person died while four others sustained injuries after a mini tempo overturned due to brake failure at Maala Mullur in Karkala rural police station limits.
The deceased is Jithender (38) of Maharashtra origin. The tempo was heading towards Mandarthi fair after the culmination of Kalasa fair. Traders who sell products in temple fairs were travelling in the tempo.
The injured have been admitted to the Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru.
