Karkala, August 22, 2024: A college student lost his life after he fell off the bus when the driver applied sudden brakes at a road hump near the Nitte college on August 21, Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Janith Shetty (20) from Maala. He was a second BSc student of Nitte College and had boarded the bus at Pulkeri to go to the college. However as the bus approached the humps near the college, the driver applied brake all of a sudden when Janith fell off the front door of the bus.

Though he was rushed to the Manipal Hospital, he had breathed his last by then.
