Karkala, June 29, 2024: A newly married woman died after the bike which she was pillion riding met with an accident after a dog came in the way of the bike near Hosmaru bridge in Edu village of Karkala taluk.

The deceased is Neeksha of Karkala. She was married just two months ago with Vishal. On Friday afternoon, the couple were heading towards  a bus stand to board a bus towards Mangaluru. As they missed the bus at Eedu cross they decided to proceed towards Hosmaru junction to board the bus.

However when they were passing near the Hosmaru bridge a dog came in the way of the speeding bike and  the rider lost control  following which Neeksha fell on the road and died on the spot due to severe head injuries.
