Karnataka Maritime Board CEO visits sea erosion affected areas of Ullal

Mangaluru, August 3, 2024: With the problem of sea erosion intensifying in the coastal areas due to heavy rains, the Chief Executive Officer of the Karnataka Maritime Board Jayaram Raipura visited the affected areas on Friday.

The Raipura visited Mogaveerapatna, Battappady and Uchila in Ullal taluk which are facing the brunt of sea erosion. Locals drew the attention of the officer towards the collapse of the sea wall due to high tidal waves in Mogaveerapatna and sought reconstruction of the same.

The same demand was placed by people in Seaground area where the retention wall constructed under ADB project has collapsed.

Several officers including Chief Engineer of Karnataka Maritime Board Prameeth B S, Assistant Executive Engineer Rajesh Kumar A and others were present.
