Kasargod, Nov 03, 2022: Police have arrested a youth in connection with the suicide of a college girl on Monday.
The arrested person is Abdul Shuhaib(21) who too is a college student. Nandana Vinod (20) of Kanhangad is the young woman who ended her life by hanging herself at her home.
Nandana was a degree student at a college in Padannakadu. It is learnt Abdul who had befriended Nandana had reportedly threatened her by posting the photos she had sent to him, on social media. Nandana who was agonised over this had ended her life, police sources informed.
Investigations also revealed that Shuhaib had made a video call to Nandana before she ended her life. It is suspected that she committed suicide when the video call was underway.
Further investigations are in progress.
