Kasargod: Four arrested for robbing quarry manager of Rs 10.2 lakhs

Kasargod, March 7, 2025: Kasargod Police have arrested four persons on the charges of looting a quarry manager of Rs 10.2 lakhs at gun point.


Those arrested are Mohammad Ibrahim Alam (21), Mohammad Malik (21), Mohammad Farooq (26) of Bihar and Dhananjaya (21) from Assam.


Robbers


The incident took place on Wednesday when P P Ravindran (56) of Kozhikhode who is a manager of a quarry was waiting for an autorickshaw to return home. Three accused intercepted him, threatened him with a revolver and then escaped with his cash bag.

The police who swung into action based on a tip off that the accused had escaped by train, managed to arrest three of them at Mangaluru Railway Station as soon as they alighted from the train. The prime accused Dhananjaya was arrested at Kanhangad.
