Kasargod: Lady cop killed by husband; accused absconding

Kasargod, November 22, 2024: A woman police personnel was murdered by her husband at Karivellur in Kannur on Thursday evening.
The deceased is Divyashree (35). She was serving Chandera police station in Kasargod. Her husband Rajesh, an autorickshaw driver is the accused and is absconding.
It is learnt, the couple had a discord following which they were living separately. On Thursday evening, Rajesh arrived with a machete and attacked Divyashree. Her father Vasu who tried to save her was also attacked. Neighbours rushed to the spot on hearing the screams when Rajesh fled the place. Divyashree was rushed to the hospital but her life could not be saved.
Investigations are underway.
