Kasargod: Man kills beautician in lodge; surrenders at police station

Kasargod, May 17, 2023: A man who reportedly murdered a beautician at a lodge in Kanhangad has later surrendered before the police on May 16, Tuesday evening.

 

The victim is Devika (34) from Uduma Mangad. The accused Satish Bhasker (36) from Bovikkana has been arrested. He worked as a security guard for a private firm in Kanhangad. It is learnt, he had asked Devika to come to the lodge and then murdered her. He later locked the room and went to the police station to inform about his act.

Though the exact reason for the murder is not known, it has been gathered that there was a dispute between the family of the accused and the victim and the family of the accused had filed a complaint against Devika. It is learnt, the police too had tried for reconciliation.

Police said Satish was residing at the lodge since a week and had invited Devika on Tuesday afternoon.
