Kasargod: Nepali worker dies after falling into pig farm waste pit

Kasargod, November 30, 2024: A tragic incident occurred on the evening of Friday, November 29, when a 19-year-old worker from Nepal, identified as Mahesh, lost his life after falling into a waste pit at a pig farm in Chowki Paichchal, on the outskirts of the city.
Fire and rescue teams, along with the police, responded swiftly to the scene and managed to retrieve Mahesh from the pit. However, despite their efforts, he could not be saved.
Mahesh’s body has been moved to the mortuary at Kasargod General Hospital. It was reported that he had started working at the farm only earlier that day.
