Kasargod, Sep 19, 2022: In a shocking case reported from Madikai on Sunday night, a teenaged boy dropped a grinding stone on his mother who was fast asleep and later committed suicide by hanging himself.

The deceased boy is 17 year old Sujith. His mother Sudha who has sustained critical injuries has been admitted to Kannur Government Medical College.

The reason for Sujith’s dastardly act is not known. Neighbours had rushed to their home on hearing Sudha’s screams only to find her lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to the hospital. The son was not to be found and it was only later that he was found hanging in another room in the house.

Sudha who had deserted her husband was living with her son.
