Kasargod Temple mishap: 3 arrested

Kasargod, October 31, 2024: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the fire cracker mishap at the Oottabalam Veerarkav Daivasthana at Neeleshwara. All the three have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Those arrested are the committee President Padannakad Chandrashekharan, Secretary K T Bharathan and Rathish, a member of the committee. Another accused Vijayan is absconding.


Kasargod temple blast


Police have identified a total of eight accused in the case. It may be recalled here that explosion due to spark ignited at the room where fire crackers were stored, led to a stampede like situation and caused injuries to 154 people.

Many of the injured have been admitted to hospitals in Mangaluru.
