Mangaluru, Feb 07, 2015: The newly constructed Shree Kashi Mutt Branch at Tirupathi and also a guest house to facilitate devotees visiting the pilgrim shrine, will be inaugurated on February 7, Saturday by Sri Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji, the anointed disciple of Srimad Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji, the senior pontiff of Kashi Mutt Samsthan.The Pratishta of Lord Shree Lakshmi Venkatesh will be held on February 9, Monday.
The opening of the new guest house on behalf of Shree Kashi Mutt Samsthan at Tirupathi would fulfil a longstanding demand of devotees who often faced accommodation problems while visiting Tirupathi.
The Tirupathi branch of Kashi Mutt has come up on the land donated by entrepreneur Dayananda Pai. The project has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 4 crores.
The lodging has 34 rooms including 9 AC rooms. The foundation for the same was laid by Kashi Mutt senior seer Sri Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji in the year 2007. Narayana Shenoy, Secretary of the Tirupathi branch of the Kashi Mutt says that the project has come up without seeking any assistance from the Tirupathi Tirumala Temple Trust. He said members of the Gowda Saraswath Brahmin community visiting Tirupathi can avail of the lodging facility. Online booking facility for rooms will be introduced from April, he said.
