Kaup: Scooterist dies, pillion rider critical in hit and run case

Kaup, March 12, 2025: A scooterist lost his life while the pillion rider sustained serious injuries after an unidentified vehicle rammed into the scooter at Muloor Mangalapete on the NH 66 in Kaup late night on Tuesday.

The deceased scooterist is Pratish Prasad (21) of Kaup. The pillion rider Nihal Wilson has been seriously injured.


Hit and run case


The scooterists were on way towards Padubidri when the mishap took place. Though locals rushed both of them to hospital, Pratish had died by the time he was admitted to hospital.

Pratish was the son of senior photographer of Kaup Bhakta Prasad and Usha Bhakta Prasad.

Kaup police have registered a case.
