According to the complaint, Sharath Babu had received Rs.9 lakh from an individual in Kerala with the promise of securing a seat for the individual’s ward in a nursing college in Bengaluru. While he allegedly paid Rs.2 lakh to the college, he reportedly kept the remaining ₹7 lakh for himself. It is believed that the individual who paid the money had repeatedly threatened Babu, raising suspicions that they may be involved in the abduction.

The abduction reportedly took place on the evening of August 6, near PVS Circle in Mangaluru. Sharath Babu was with a friend when two men allegedly arrived in a car and forcibly took him away. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with the victim being quickly overpowered and pushed into the vehicle.

A case has been registered at the Kadri Police Station and police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.
