Mangalore, Sep 27, 2013 : Dr Santosh Roy, National Organising Secretary of the Akhila Bharatha Hindu Mahasabha has said that the Sabha was organizing Khadga Deeksha Programme with the main objective of self-defence.
Speaking to reporters here on September 26, Thursday, he said the programme is organised to inculcate the spirit of nationalism, patriotism in youth and also to sensitize them on Hindutva and its philosophies.
He said the Khadga Deeksha programme will be held as scheduled and defended the programme by saying there is reference to Khadga Deeksha even in Markandeya Purana and in the works of Guru Govind Singh.
He also criticized the PUCL and other organizations which have condemned the Khadga Deeksha programme and questioned why they raised voice only when right wing groups organised such programmes. Roy was also critical of PFI, IUML and Communist Party of India and accused them of trying to divide the nation.
Ravi Magar, State General Secretary of the Hindu Maha Sabha, Rajesh Poojari, Mangalore District unit Chief and others were present on the occasion.
