Konaje: Passenger dies, 2 others injured as auto rams into tree

Mangaluru, November 25, 2024: A passenger died while two others were injured when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling went out of control of the driver and rammed into a tree on a steep road at Pulinchady on Sunday evening.
The deceased is Narayana Gatti (50) of Kumble. He was on way to Kalkar of Konaje to enquire the health of an ailing relative. However the autorickshaw suffered a brake failure while passing through the steep road resulting in the death of Narayana Gatti. Another relative woman and her son sustained injuries.
Mangaluru South Traffic Police have registered a case.
