Mangaluru, April 30, 2025: Police who are investigating the case of assault and murder of a person near Kudupu on Sunday, have arrested five more persons. With this the total number of arrests in the case has risen to 20.
Those arrested are Sachin from Vamanjoor, Anil of Kulshekhar, Adarsh and Sushanth of Kudupu and Yathiraj from Kaikamba.
Meanwhile, police have identified the deceased as Ashraf from Pulpalli in Sultan Battery taluk of Wayanad in Kerala. The family is on way to Mangaluru to ascertain the identity.
It is said that an altercation between the man and some youth playing cricket at a ground near Kudupu had culminated in the assault and murder.
