Kundapur, Dec 10, 2012:  A bike rider lost his life when his two-wheeler collided head on with a bus near the Koteshwar bypass road on National Highway 66 on December 9, Sunday night.

The deceased is Satish Shetty (27) from Nesaramakki. He was on way to Thekkatte when the VRL bus   which was heading towards Gulbarga from Mangalore rammed against it. The bike had completely under the bus while the rider was thrown off. Though he was immediately rushed to the NR Acharya Hospital, he breathed his last there.


It is learnt Satish had lost his father just 22 days ago and hence had left his job at Hyderabad to remain back in hometown.


Locals blamed the incomplete road works for the mishap.
