Kundapur, March 22, 2025: The police in a swift move arrested a chain snatcher within a day of a chain snatching case.
The arrested chain snatcher is Manjunatha Mayya of Saligrama Karkada Bhatrakatte. On Thursday, Yadtady resident Seetha Baik was on way to a function in a nearby house when the accused who was riding a bike snatched her mangalasutra chain and fled the place.
The police who swung into action apprehended the accused based on CCTV footage. The arrested man Manjunatha also confessed to have snatched the chain of an elderly woman at Barkur in an earlier instance.
