Kundapur, June 14, 2023: A male leopard has been trapped in a cage kept by the Forest Department at Malady in Thekkatte Gram Panchayat of Kundapur taluk.

The leopard had given sleepless nights to locals since some days and it had already preyed on many domestic dogs.

The cage was kept a few days ago and the leopard aged around four to five years is now trapped and locals have heaved a sigh of relief.

Leopards are often spotted in Malady area. In the past five years, as many as eight leopards have been trapped in the locality.
