Kundapur: Pedestrian fatally struck by car on NH 66

Kundapur, November 1, 2024: A tragic incident occurred on National Highway 66 when a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck from behind by a car.
The victim, identified as local resident Kuppa Poojari, succumbed to his injuries while being taken to the hospital. The incident happened in front of Shekara Devaadiga’s house in Thrasai village on Thursday, October 31.
Kuppa Poojari was walking along the highway towards Kundapura when a car with registration number MH 01 DX 5245 hit him from behind.
Due to the severity of the accident, he sustained serious injuries and, sadly, passed away while being transported to the hospital with the assistance of locals.
A case has been filed at the Gangolli police station.
