Bantwal, November 12, 2024: Supporters of a BJP leader created ruckus at the office of the Revenue Inspector in Vittal over the issue of a title deed of a house. The glass top of the table was shattered to pieces during the rampage. Later, police who rushed to the spot brought the situation under control.

Land row

Veerakambha resident Sheikh Shiban had constructed a house reportedly on a government land and had filed an application under Form 94C to get the land registered in his name. The Revenue officials who conducted a spot inspection, remarked that the land was just a little away from a forest area and therefore there needs permission from the Forest Department.

However Shiban wanted the remarks to be removed. When the officials did not agree, he had arrived at the Vittal Revenue Inspector’s office along with the supporters of BJP leader Madhav Mave and those who arrived reportedly abused the government officer and banged on the table resulting in the glass top getting shattered.
