Light House Hill Road is now Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty Road ; Nameboard unveiled

Mangaluru, Sep 23, 2020: The Light House Hill Road has finally been renamed as Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty Road and the nameboard of the new road was unveiled by Mayor Diwaker Pandeshwar on September 23, Wednesday. It may be recalled here that the issue of renaming the road had created a major controversy after there was opposition from some quarters towards the proposal. The road between Ambedkar Circle to Catholic Club via Light House will now be formally called as Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty Road in honour of the former chairman of Vijaya Bank.
Deputy Mayor Vedavathi, ZP Chief Meenakashi Shantigodu, former minister Krishna Palemar, Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty Abhimani Balaga Honorary President Sadanand Shetty, former mayor Mahabala Maarla, Ajith Kumar Malady and others were present.
