Mangaluru, Nov 01, 2017:  Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo’s mother Cicilia Lobo  passed away at a private hospital in Mangaluru  on November 1, Wednesday morning. She was 96 years of age.

Born on  May 3, 1921 to Pius Monteiro and Florine Monteiro  couple at Karambar in Malavoor, Cicilia  was the second among the 12 children of her parents.

She had  served as a  teacher for 40 years at Puttur, Kaikamba, Vittla, Pajir, Ferar and other places. Cicilia was married to Albert Lobo.

Cicilia   was actively involved in various social service activities. MLA J R Lobo is the youngest among her four children.


Funeral cortege to leave Kaudoor House, Kaikamba at 4.30 pm on Wednesday, November 1st 2017 and Funeral mass at 5.00 pm at Our Lady of Pompei Church, Kaikamba, Gurpur.
