MLA Vedavyas Kamath criticizes Congress for allegedly supporting communal forces

Mangaluru, Sept 15, 2024: Mangaluru City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath has criticized the Congress government, accusing it of supporting communal forces in the state. He claimed that religious fanatical groups have gained strength since Congress took power.

"Karnataka, once a peaceful state, now faces a situation where Hindus are worried about celebrating festivals," Kamath stated. Referring to the recent riot during the Ganesha idol immersion in Nagamangala, Mandya district, he suggested it was a deliberate act and raised suspicions about the involvement of banned organizations.

Kamath called for a thorough investigation, alleging that the government is attempting to downplay the incident as a minor issue. He further claimed that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated.
