MP Brijesh Chowta asks officials to expedite plastic park works

Mangaluru, June 20, 2024: Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta has directed officials to expedite the works of the Plastic Park proposed at Ganjimutt in Mangaluru taluk.

He was speaking at a meeting held at the DC office on Wednesday to review the progress of the implementation of Central Government schemes. He said it was not proper to suspend the works of the project owing to minor issues. He expressed his resentment over the suspension of the works despite availability of Rs 32 crore grants.

He said the project when completed would provide employment opportunities to thousands.
He also reviewed the progress of the Jala Jeevan Mission implementation and issued directions to officials to oversee the effective implementation of the project.
