MP Brijesh Chowta discusses highway issues with MoRTH Secretary

New Delhi, March 20, 2025: Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Dakshina Kannada MP, met Umashankar, Secretary, Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, in Delhi on Wednesday and discussed various road infrastructure issues pertaining to Mangaluru region.
He sought his intervention for speeding up ongoing highway projects between B.C. Road and Adda Hole (Gundya) and between Sakleshpur and Maranahalli.
The MP also discussed the issues pertaining to New Mangalore Port connectivity road between B.C. Road and Mukka, to facilitate regular and good quality maintenance as well as the need for disbanding the SPV and giving NHAI the complete responsibility of the same, the MP posted on X.
