Sullia, April 16, 2025: Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Captain Brijesh Chowta, on Tuesday, laid the foundation stone for two road projects to be taken up at a cost of ₹6 crore in Sullia taluk using the Central Road Infrastructure Fund.
One of the projects included the development of a 6.2 km stretch of Nintikallu-Bellare Road at a cost of ₹3.72 crore. The other involved developing the 3.8 km stretch of Sullia-Paichar-Bellare Road at a cost of ₹2.28 crore.
The MP, with Sullia MLA Bhagirathi Murulya, laid the foundation stone for the projects at Nintikallu Cross.
With the development of the Sullia-Paichar-Bellare-Nintikallu Road stretch, the State highways and district roads in the region will be better connected. This stretch will connect Puttur, Kukke Subrahmanya, Mangaluru and Madikeri, the MP said in a statement.
