MUDA commissioner accuses 2 of threatening her, posting defamatory messages against her

Mangaluru, April 1, 2025: Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Commissioner has accused two middlemen of posting defamatory messages, issuing threats to her over phone and also deliberately humiliating her.

In a complaint to Urwa police, the commissioner said that following an incident of a man allegedly entering the MUDA office unlawfully and tampering with the files on the desk on January 7, restrictions were imposed to prevent middlemen from interfering in matters related to single-site approvals and other works in the MUDA office.

However, between January 7 and March 27, Wahab and Sabith created a WhatsApp group, gathered other middlemen, and posted defamatory messages about her but also issued death threats over the phone. They allegedly formed groups to frequently disrupt official duties at the office, conspired against the complainant with criminal intent, and deliberately humiliated the her in public. Additionally, they attempted to disturb public peace within the office and even threatened to perform black magic against her, said complainant to the police.
