Man arrested in Mangaluru for Drug possession; Police seize car and assets worth Rs 7.13 lakh

Mangaluru, September 7, 2024: The Kankanady Town Police have arrested a 27-year-old man named Himanish from Ashok Nagar on charges of consuming banned drugs. Along with seizing the drugs, they have confiscated assets worth Rs 7.13 lakh, including a car.
On September 3, while conducting vehicle checks near Padil Junction, the police stopped a suspicious car and questioned the driver. The driver, who had come from Kerala, admitted to consuming drugs. Upon searching the car, the police found plastic covers containing 2.60 grams of narcotics. The accused was arrested, and both the drugs and the car were seized.
