Man booked for smoking in washroom of aircraft

Mangaluru, September 2, 2024: A man from Manjeswhar in Kasargod district has been booked for smoking in the washroom of an aircraft and thus violating the safety guidelines of the aircraft. The case has been registered against Mushadiq Hussain (24). He had travelled in the Abudhabi-Mangaluru Indigo flight on Saturday evening when he had smoked cigarette in the flight washroom.

It has been alleged he had smoked in the toilet just a few moments before the flight landed at the Mangaluru International Airport. Later the Indigo Airlines officials lodged a complaint at Bajpe police station.

The police have served a notice to the accused and have asked him to appear at the station for questioning.
