Moodbidri, March 12, 2025: A 57-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl multiple times in Pranthya village near Ladi, Moodbidri.
The accused, identified as Prakash, a resident of Ajankallu, has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The victim’s parents filed a complaint stating that Prakash would visit the girl’s rented house, located near his residence, when her family members were not present. The alleged assaults reportedly occurred repeatedly over the past year.
Police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations into the matter.
