Mangala Workers Union stages protest; urges govt to revive MCF

Mangalore, Oct 21, 2014:  Several people under the aegis of the MCF Mangala Workers Union  staged a protest outside the MCF Plant on October 21, Tuesday  to pressurise the government to  restart the factory.  They shouted slogans saying “ Save MCF Factory and  Protect Poor Farmers.”

 

 

 

 

The protestors alleged that the failure of the   government to supply naphtha  essential for manufacture of urea and fertilizers was responsible for the closure of the factory.

They said the farmers relied on the Mangala Urea manufactured by MCF and that the closure of the factory would hit hard the farmers.
