Mangalore, Jan 6, 2014: The annual Eucharistic Procession of Mangalore Diocese led by Bishop Rev. Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza was held on January 5. The procession participated by thousands of faithful including nuns, priests and laity was taken out from Milagres Church to Rosario Cathedral where the adoration was held.
Earlier, the Bishop offered the Mass at the Milagres Church prior to the beginning of the procession.
Speaking at a ceremony held at Rosario Cathedral, Fr Vijay Machado, Director designate of Mangala Jyothi, said the faithful must confess their sins as it helps in cleansing the soul and bringing peace of mind. Confession helps an individual to forgive himself and also others, he further added.
Parishes of Mangalore Diocese which made the highest collections, were honoured by presenting them with mementoes. The names of the parishes were announced by Fr Sunil George D’Souza.
JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South Constituency, Fr Ajith Rodrigues, OCD. Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General, Fr Henry Sequeira, Chancellor, Fr Valerian D’Souza, Parish Priest of Milagres Church, Fr J B Crasta, Parish Priest of Rosario Cathedral and others participated.
