Mangalore: Driver miraculously survives car crash

Mangaluru, March 9, 2019: A speeding car hit a road divider and turned turtle near Lady Hill petrol pump in the city late last night. However, the driver, an unidentified youth, miraculously survived the crash virtually unhurt. The incident occurred a few minutes past midnight and no one else was hurt either.

 

It is said that the car was rushing at break neck speed and the driver lost control of the vehicle as he was negotiating a curve in the road while approaching Lady Hill Circle. The car was moving from Saibeen Junction towards Lady Hill. The vehicle, a white Honda City, first hit the road divider, swung in the air to hit a lamp post, toppled and landed on its top.

Its bumper was ripped off. Lot of debris and oil spill was seen scattered on the road. The nose portion of the car was completely smashed and made for a ghastly sight.

A large crowd gathered around the spot. Several police patrol cars had arrived to handle the situation. A young man in a black T-shirt, said to be the driver of the car, was seen explaining the incident to the police officers. Onlookers said the driver was extremely lucky to survive such a terrible accident.
