Mangalore, Dec 10, 2012: Senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhana Poojary celebrated AICC President Sonia Gandhi’s 66th birthday with senior citizens on Dec 10, Monday.
Poojary distributed fruits to the inmates of Prashanth Nivas Ashram and St Antony Ashram, Jeppu. He also appreciated the nuns for their commendable service towards welfare of senior citizens.
On this occasion, Poojari donated a sum of Rs 16000 from his pension to the ashrams.
Ashram head Sylvia Fernandes, Mayor Gulzar Banu, Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, T K Sudhir, Moideen Bawa, J R Lobo, Nagendra and Jacinta Alfred were present.
