Mangalore, Jan 8, 2013: Two short films ‘Dosti’ and ‘1998 Love Story’ brought out under the banner of Mathrushri Production will be screened at Don Bosco Hall on January 21, Monday from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Speaking at a press meet held at Press Club on Jan 8, Tuesday, Mithun Suvarna Yeyyadi, Director of the Tulu short film ‘1998 Love Story’ said the film revolves around college love stories.
He said the film was shot in eight days at different locales including Someshwar, Sulthan Batheri, Yeyyadi, Kavoor and Derebail Konchady. The film has two songs sung by Poornima and Suhail, he informed and added local artistes have been given an opportunity to display their talent in the film.
Speaking about the Kannada- Tulu short film ‘Dosti’, Deviprasad said that the film depicts the life of friends and the turn in their relationship after a girl’s entry into their life. The film is shot in Padavinangady, Pachanady, Sulthan Bathery and Yeyyadi. The film has a Tulu and a Kannada song each.
Those who wish to watch the films will have to pay an entry fee of Rs 50/100.
MLA Krishna J Palemar will inaugurate the film screening. Mithun Rai, Vijaykumar Kodialbail, Moidin Bava and Kripa Alva will be the chief guests.
