Mangalore, Jan 11, 2013 : Violence and anarchy is prevailing today’s society which has ignored the ideals of great men like Swami Vivekananda, said Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat, Correspondent of Sri Rama Vidya Kendra, Kalladka and a senior RSS leader.
He was speaking after inaugurating a Youth Convention organised at the Ramakrishna Mutt in Mangalore on January 11, Friday in connection with the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda. The function was held under the aegis of the district administration, ZP, Department of Youth Services and Sports and Ramakrishna Mutt. Continuing, Bhat said Swami Vivekananda during his lifetime had a vision of Akhanda Bharath and had great respect for women.
He further bemoaned that the nation has today ignored its cultural ethos and was aping Western culture, which he said has made India a developing nation rather than a developed nation. Let us follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and lead our nation towards progress, he added.
Yogish Bhat, Deputy Speaker, presided over the function. Deputy Commissioner N Prakash, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, Fisheries Corporation Chairman Nitin Kumar and others were present.
