Mangalore, Dec.11: MLA Yogish Bhat said that the government will sanction a sum of Rs 100 crore in addition to the 100 crore already sanctioned for the development of Mangalore city. He was addressing media persons at a press conference organized in the BJP party office at PVC Circle, Mangalore.
He said that Krishna Palemar, Nagaraj Shetty, Nalin Kumar, and Cpt Ganesh Karnik had met the Chief Minister Dr. B S Yeddiyurappa and appraised him about the development of Mangalore City Corporation. during the World Tulu Convention in Ujire. The chief minister was convinced with the needs of the city and promised that the state government would sanction Rs 100 crore more for the development of Mangalore during the next financial year.
Rs 5 crore will be spent on the bus stands in Mangalore; Rs 25 crore on the footpaths, drainage systems, and the road concretization projects. Rs. 25 crore for repairing roads in the corporation limits; Rs 25 crore for constructing a flyover in Hampankatta; Rs 10 crore for developing the Central Market and Rs 10 crore for improving the city parks, said MLA Yogish Bhat.
Nithin Kumar and Monappa Bhandary were also present during the press conference.
