Mangalorean NRI dies in road accident in Abu Dhabi

Mangalore( Abu Dhabi):Prashanth Pinto (38), a Mangalorean NRI, died in a road accident in Abu Dhabhi on Nov 17.

Son of Cynthia Pinto and Henry Pinto of Bilalkoppa, Prashanth had settled down at Derebail in Mangalore. He married Tina and had a son. He had rented a studio flat in Musaffah in Abu Dhabhi and lived there alone.

On Nov 17, he went for a walk and never returned. He brother tried his best to find him and finally lodged a complaint at the Abu Dhabhi police station. Finally, his body was found in the mortuary of an Abu Dhabhi hospital.

Sources say that Prashanth was run over by a car when he was taking a walk. The police arrested the car driver, who was a citizen of the UAE. However, they moved the body to a hospital mortuary as they couldn’t identify it.

Later, Prashanth’s brother identified the body.
