Mangaluru, November 8, 2024: A court in Mangaluru has sentenced three persons to life imprisonment in a case of rape and murder of an eight year old girl.

Those convicted are Jaya Singh, Mukhesh Singh and Manish Tirki. The incident had taken place near a tiles factory at Ulaibettu in 2021. The three were later arrested and booked under POCSO.


3 get lifer in rape case


The local police had filed a charge sheet in the court. After conclusion of the hearing, the Court declared the three guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment. The court has also ordered payment of a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the deceased victim.
