MLA Kamath criticized the Congress government, stating that the pressure and threats from ministers, MLAs, and their close aides have led to a series of suicides among government employees and contractors. Families of those who lost their lives are being driven to the streets. Citing the case of contractor Sachin, who allegedly took his life due to harassment by a close aide of Minister Priyank Kharge, Kamath accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of remaining silent out of fear of losing his position. Similarly, he claimed that Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar is refraining from speaking against Priyank Kharge out of concerns over his own political future.

The protest witnessed participation from leaders like Ramesh Kandetttu, Premananda Shetty, Vikas Puttur, Nandan Mallya, Monappa Bhandari, Pooja Pai, Deputy Mayor Bhanumathi, Sanjay Prabhu, and others.

Following the protest, MLA Vedavyas Kamath and other leaders, along with party workers, staged a road blockade expressing their outrage. The police detained them briefly before releasing them.
