Mangaluru, Jan 28, 2020 : The annual Car Festival of Shree Venkataramana Temple at Carstreet in Mangaluru commences today ( Saturday) with the Dhwajarohana. The Sanna Rathotsava or Saan Theru and Mrigabete utsava will be held on January 31 followed by the Brahmarathotsava on February 1. The festivities will conclude with Avabhritotsava or Okuli on February 2.
The entire temple complex has been illuminated for the festival. Srimad Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji of Kashi Mutt will arrive at the shrine on January 30 and will camp until February 3 to guide all the festivities and rituals.
