Mangaluru, December 17, 2024: A woman had a narrow escape after a car which she had just parked near her house near City Centre on the K S Rao Road, caught fire accidentally on December 16, Monday. The Hyundai car was badly damaged in the fire. Fire service men from Pandeshwar rushed to the spot and doused the fire. The front portion of the car suffered extensive damage.
It is learnt, the fire originated in the bonnet of the car due to a suspected short circuit.
It may be recalled here that in similar incidents, cars had caught fire accidentally in the city on September 5, September 28 and November 15.
