Mangaluru, Oct 06, 2022: Mangaluru Dasara celebrations of Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple, a grand spectacle that attracts people from far and near, concluded during the early hours of October 6 with the Jalaka or the immersion of the idols of Navadurgas and Goddess Sharada which were installed and worshipped at the Temple auditorium during the past nine days.
Lakhs of devotees witnessed the magnificent and colourful Shobhayatra which commenced from the temple premises on October 5, Wednesday evening under the guidance of senior Billawa leader and the rallying force behind the temple renovation, B Janardhana Poojary.
The procession featuring tastefully decorated vehicles in which the idols of Goddess Sharada, Navadurgas and Lord Ganesha were placed, along with many other tableaux and also a tableau featuring Shree Narayana Guru, passed through Mannagudda, Ladyhill Circle, Lalbagh, Ballalbagh, PVS Circle, K S Rao Road, Hampankatta, Ganapathi High School Road, Carstreet and then returned to the temple.
Chende teams, folk art teams, Lambani dance teams, Bhajans teams, Huli Vesha teams all added a special touch to the Shobha Yatra.
