Mangaluru: District Journalists’ Conference inaugurated

Mangaluru, Nov 21, 2023: The 4th district level conference of Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Association was inaugurated at the Kudmul Rangarao Town Hall on November 21, Tuesday.

Shivananda Tagadur, President of Karnataka State Working Journalists Association who presided over the function, said in this modern age a journalist faces a big challenge of upholding professional commitment as well ethical values. Regretting that that the number of journalists with a sense of professional commitment was on the decline, he said the society has high hopes on journalists and they have to live upto the expectations.

The conference was inaugurated by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. MLA Vedavyas Kamath, MLC Harish Kumar, President of the DK Working Journalists Association Indaje Srinivas Nayak and many others were present.

A photo exhibition organised as part of the conference was also inaugurated.
