Mangaluru, April 25, 2025: A case has been registered against a Facebook page named ‘Nichchu Mangaluru’ for allegedly posting content that justified the recent brutal massacre in Pahalgam. The FIR was lodged at the Konaje police station following a complaint filed by Satish Kumar from Ullal.

According to police sources, the case has been registered under Sections 192 and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities are working to identify the individual shown in the display picture (DP) of the Facebook page in question.

The person behind the page, suspected to be a resident within the Konaje police station jurisdiction, is accused of sharing posts that attempted to rationalize the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The post allegedly claimed that the killings were a retaliatory act in response to a 2023 incident in Palghar, Maharashtra, where three Muslims were reportedly killed and the accused, Chetan Singh, was not held publicly accountable.

The post further suggested that the Pahalgam massacre was motivated by religious revenge, framing it as a response to the Palghar episode.

The online justification of such extremist violence has sparked widespread condemnation on social media. Meanwhile, police investigations are ongoing, and efforts are underway to trace the person managing the ‘Nichchu Mangaluru’ Facebook page.
