Mangaluru, March 13, 2025: A fire broke out at the rear section of Krishna Heritage on 8th Cross Road, Mannagudda, on March 12. The blaze, started by an AC explosion around 11 a.m., quickly spread to the tiled roof, engulfing the structure in flames. Thick smoke filled the area as the building was completely destroyed.
Firefighters from the Kadri fire station responded promptly, but when their water supply ran out, a backup unit from Pandeshwar took over, battling the fire until 2 p.m. To support firefighting efforts, Mescom linemen temporarily cut off electricity in the area.
Krishna Heritage was not a residential property but was rented out for events. Fire officials revealed that the venue lacked emergency safety measures, which contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
